Authors can expect to be engaged in discussions about their AAS Journal manuscripts and published articles in a number of online forums. The AAS Data Editors monitor each of these forum, providing feedback as quickly as possible.
The AAS Journal’s Data Editors maintain a suite of GitHub repositories at https://github.com/AASJournals. These repositories include the current AASTeX release, Tutorials for building interactive figures or using repositories, and Tools for working with figures and data in our articles. Authors are encouraged to use GitHub issues to discuss problems, provide feedback, or discover answers to previously solved issues.
We also monitor social media so we can help out in discussions related to our Journals. On Twitter we are happy to respond to you (via @AAS_Publishing) within the limits of that platform. While we do not maintain a public question and answer site, we do monitor tags such as #aastex on sites such as tex.stackexchange.com.
For authors who desire direct support, you may also submit email to our internal ticketing system. A listing of the individual help accounts is given below.
