AAS Journals at the AAS 227 Meeting

4 January 2016

There are lots of changes coming to the way we publish your research, so get a head start on the new system by attending one of our two events at the AAS 227 meeting in Kissimmie this week. We have prepared a detailed Author and Referee Workshop on Wednesday and are hosting an AAS Publishing 101 forum and reception on Thursday evening. Even if you can’t attend one of these, please drop by the AAS booth (#229) for more information and to ask us any questions about AAS Publishing during 2016-2017. Workshop videos and presentation files have been added below

Author and Referee Workshop: We’ve structured this comprehensive workshop to make it easy to fit into the daily AAS meeting schedule. Drop in to one of the identical two-hour morning and afternoon sessions, and enjoy a buffet lunch in between with additional demonstrations.

The workshop events will be held in Tallahassee between 10am and 3pm on Wednesday. Here is a detailed schedule:

Session 1

Buffet lunch with the following demonstrations

Session 2 – repeat of Session 1 starting at 1pm and closing at 3pm.

AAS Publishing 101 and Reception: Come to Osceola 5 on Thursday between 5:30pm – 6:30pm to participate in a forum on the changes coming to AAS Journals during 2016. The forum will feature emcee Kevin Marvel, Executive Officer of the AAS. The presentation also doubles as a reception, with nibbles and drinks for you to enjoy while hearing about the future of AAS Publishing.
